Based on the ideas of construction, rupture, and the cyclical reality of things, it proposes a situation where the object’s deconstructed state is, simultaneously, an end in itself and a starting point.
A large cubic structure formed by torn textile panels awaits, over nine days, the moment when — after 18 hours of performance (two hours per day) — the tears close up again, and the structure transforms. The act of destruction is omitted, and the violence inherent to it exists only in a speculatively retroactive manner.
A slow, silent, and contemplative installation — one that questions the destructive human tendency and the relevance of constructive action.
