Āśrama

In Hinduism, human life is understood to be divided into four stages, called Asramas. Ideally, all men should, throughout their existence, live according to each of them. This short film proposes an analysis, filtered through this conceptual framework, of the interpersonal relationships we maintain in society, as well as of our personal development.

The short film is divided into four acts: The Celibate Student, The Provider Householder, The Hermit in Retreat and The Wandering Ascetic. Each act corresponds to one of the Asramas, which serve as a starting point for structuring a narrative that follows a family — if in a not entirely linear way — through symbolic, carefully constructed moments.
